LIVE EVENT PAINTING

A live wedding painting is a one-of-a-kind investment that will make
your day memorable for years to come. I would love be a part of your special day
by capturing your special moment.
The Process of Live Oil Painting
On the day of the wedding, I will show up 2-4 hours before the start of the event. I'll take that time to set up my easel, paints, and lighting and begin painting the background. I will work on the painting during the event, in the location the bride and groom request and will take my own photos for reference to paint from. My goal is to have a good portion of the painting done by the end of the event, however, I will take the painting home to finish the details. I work in oil paint instead of acrylic paint, so the painting will dry more slowly and needs days to set. This is why I will take the painting back to my studio, even if the painting is done by the end of the night. The result is quality fine art with a longevity worthy of a true heirloom piece (as oil paint is more stable over time than acrylic paint). I will deliver the painting to the couple within 2-6 weeks after the event.
Prices for Live Paintings
Prices for oil painting on canvas:
16x20 - $3000
20x24 - $3500
24x30 - $4000
These prices include the background and the bride and groom in their special moment, such as saying their vows, first kiss, or first dance. If you want more people included in the painting, we can discuss additional pricing. If you would like a canvas size that is different from the ones listed above, please contact me for pricing.
I will send you a contract via email and will consider your date booked once I receive your contract and deposit of 50%. A full refund is honored for any reason up to 10 weeks before your event. Half refund is honored for any reason up to 2 days before your event.
I accept Venmo, PayPal, cash, check, or credit card.
The remainder of the balance will need to be paid 2-4 days before your wedding. If you live out of the Indianapolis area, the finished painting can be shipped. The cost of shipping will be included in your final payment.
I offer affordable out-of-town travel based on mileage (70 cents per mile after the first 30 miles) plus overnight accommodations if outside of the Indianapolis area.
One-night accommodations, not exceeding $300, will be required if:
- Locations is more than 50 miles outside of the Indianapolis area and
- Hours on location extend past 9pm.

A consultation will be done over email, phone, or in-person to talk over any details for the day of the event.
When choosing what you want me to paint, please keep in mind I have a limited amount of time to create something.
What Happens After Booking a Live Painting

Live Guest Painting
The Process of Live Guest Painting
Live guest painting is a truly unique experience for your guests. Not only does it provide entertainment during the event, but they will also get to take home a small painting of themselves.
On the day of the wedding, I will show up an hour before the event in order to get everything set up. Once your event begins, guests' photos will be taken and then quickly painted on 5"x 7" mixed media paper. These unique keepsakes take an average of 12-15 minutes each, or 4 to 5 paintings an hour. All paintings will be inserted into a plastic sleeve for protection. Frames are not included. If you would like to supply the frames for your guests, I will put the finished painting in the frames for them.
Prices
Prices start at $300 an hour. At the end of your event, if there are guests who didn't get painted, 4 extra paintings are included in the package you purchased that I will complete in my studio. If you have more than 4, each additional painting is $50. Once your paintings are done, I will drop them off or mail them directly to you.
Additional Add-Ons
Any add-on paintings will be done from my home studio. These add-on options allow the bride and groom to send me a copy of their professional pictures taken on the day of their wedding. These paintings are more detailed than the ones completed during the event. Contact me for more information about sizes and pricing.
